Barry Howard

Barry Howard Carp Fishing-Grumpy Carper
I have  been an avid fisherman since childhood, but in 2007 I became fascinated by Carp. Little did I know that my fascination would turn into an obsession.

I met my fishing partner and fellow GRUMPY carper at a "Fish In" that he was hosting as the NY state  chairmen, and my obsession with carp fishing was under way. Since that fish, in I have become a "Tackle Tart", impulsive buyer, tournament fisherman and according to my wife a HOARDER.

I joined the Carp Anglers Group in 2007. Most of what I know about carp fishing was learned from the CAG forum and the CAG fish ins that were held each year.

At present I am on the Cag board of Directors as the membership Director and the store Director.

Ed and I are constantly looking for new waters to fish and new fishermen to teach everything we know about this amazing fish, so if you are interested in learning about carp fishing give us a shout and we will get you started fishing for the "Worlds Greatest Sportfish".

Ed Wagner

My name is Ed Wagner. I’ve been fishing for carp since a young boy. It is my favorite fish to pursue. I have been a member of the Carp Anglers group since 1996. I have been the NY state chairman since 1999 hosting many yearly fish-ins and involvement in many CAG events.

I am a pro staffer for WCB baits and do yearly tournaments representing WCB. Team WCB has placed 4 times in the top 3 in the past 6 years. I use a very simple approach to my fishing. I am not tied up to all the fancy rigs used overseas, as I don’t feel these complicated rigs are a necessity here in the US.

I do most of my fishing with brother Grumpy Carper Barry Howard. Being young 70 something year olds we have a struggle in common everyday approaching our fishing. Our Grumpy Carpers site is there for any question for the newbies and Old Timers. With that I will say Tight Lines.
